Joey embarked on his career in the custom home industry in the late 1990s. In the mid-2000s, he shifted his focus to commercial construction, taking on a superintendent role with Flintco to meet the growing demand for skilled supervisors. During his tenure with Flintco, he contributed to a range of projects, including one of the largest state-funded detention centers in the nation. He then advanced to Performance Contracting Inc. (PCI), one of the leading commercial interior general contractors in the country. At PCI, Joey played a crucial role in renovating numerous medical facilities and retail spaces, including the iconic Bass Pro Shop Pyramid in Memphis. His expertise extended to new constructions like the Kay Bed Tower at St. Jude Hospital, the Memphis International Airport Parking Garage, and the NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, among others.
